About The Program

about

The SheCan Conference is an annual event dedicated to empowering women from all backgrounds, careers, and industries with the message: "She Can Do More."

Despite progress in gender equality, many sectors that drive our world such as Information Technology, Engineering, Aviation, and Modern Farming remain predominantly male-dominated. Women in these fields often face systemic barriers, underrepresentation, and are denied equal opportunities, leaving them feeling like second-class citizens.

The SheCan Conference provides a vibrant platform for key stakeholders, industry leaders, corporate partners, HR professionals, entrepreneurs, female professionals, young leaders, beneficiaries, and media partners from age 18 - 65 to come together and address these challenges. Through engaging conversations, skill-building sessions, and inspiring stories, the event fosters women's empowerment in business, career, and education, particularly in the Nigerian context.

SARA by Wema is proud to sponsor the SheCan Conference because we believe in the power of women-led innovation, inclusion, and empowerment—values that align perfectly with our mission to provide accessible digital banking, business tools, and financial education to women across Nigeria.

At SARA by Wema, we believe economic empowerment is key to gender equity. That's why we support platforms like SheCan to help women break barriers, challenge limiting beliefs, and thrive in male-dominated sectors like tech, finance, and aviation. Through strategic partnerships, we provide access to skills, mentorship, funding, and digital banking tools that empower women to build sustainable businesses and lead with confidence.
